Structural Steel
Structural steel, one of the more widely used building materials in the construction industry, is also the most studied and best understood. Its primary purpose in the building industry is to form a skeleton that holds everything together. Structural steel is 100% recyclable and one of the most reused materials in the world. Our team is well-equipped to handle all your structural steel-related projects. To know more about how we can help you, reach out to us today!
Benefits of Structural Steel
Over the past 30+ years, structural steel has remained a highly sought-after construction material, with one of the most steady prices in the market. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the price for fabricated structural steel for commercial buildings increased 62% from their base date of 1980 compared to ready-mix concrete prices, which have escalated 114% during that same period. The structural steel component of the construction industry is one of the few segments where significant productivity increases have occurred.
Miscellaneous Steel
Miscellaneous Metal covers a wide array of potential projects. It’s an industry catch-all for metalwork that doesn’t easily fall into a major category. Though not a full representation of our capabilities, below are some great examples of projects that we’ve completed within the Miscellaneous Metal realm:
- Catwalks & Platforms
- Ladders
- Canopies
- Other Custom Builds
Plate Bending
Plate bending is a fabrication process used to produce a V-shape, U-shape, or channel shape over a straight axis in ductile materials. In order to bend the most common metal—sheet metal—it is placed between two tools, and the plate is pressed into the die by lowering the upper tool in a controlled manner. Other ways to bend plate metal include embossing and three-point bending. With our machines, we can produce plate metal in all commonly used formats according to your specifications.
Automated CNC Processing of All Structural Shapes
Automated CNC processing involves the use of factory machinery and tools that are controlled by computer software. This method can be used to run many complex machines, from grinders and lathes to mills and CNC routers. Using CNC machining, 3D cutting tasks can be accomplished in a single step. With our experience and knowledge in the industry, we can help you produce metal structures of all shapes and sizes. Get in touch with us to learn more.
